Billy G. "Bill" Pompell

BILLY "BILL" G. POMPELL, 59, passed away on December 3, 2004. Billy was a Sheetrocker and worked for I.E. Miller Trucking as a dispatcher. He was a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and a member of VFW 8790 for ten years. Preceded in death by his father, William l. Pampell; step-father, David Lahrmann; grandparents, Ernst and Agnes Pampell and William and Easter Garlington. Survived by his children, Rhonny L. Pampell and Billy J. Pampell; grandchildren, Krystal, Daniela and Taylor Pampell; mother, Frances P. Lahrmann; sisters, Linda Durden and husband, Kenneth, Lynette K. Lively and husband, Gwen; step-brother, Mark Lahrmann and wife, Norma; special aunt, Garnett Pampell and host of other aunts and uncles, Edward and wife, Lavern Pampell; Harry Lee and wife, Jo Garlington, R.C. and wife, Agnes Garlington, Vernon and wife, Clarine Havard, Onetta and husband, Vernice Roebuck, Edd and wife, Clair Gerstenberger, Melvin Garlington, Viola Nickerson and Garnett Pampell; nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1515 Hillendahl, Rev. David V. Schultz, officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Hamilton, Dennis Pampell, Kevin Durden, David Durden, Steve Lahrmann and Clint Lively. The family would like to thank special friends and family that helped Billy through this crisis.
