Carol Flack Obituary

Carol G. "Peggy" Flack Carol G. "Peggy" Flack of Dallas, Texas, passed on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. She was born December 24, 1919, in Dupo, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Flack; her father, Thomas Arnold and mother, Marjorie Bucklin Arnold; sister, Rosemary Arnold and brother, Ed Arnold. Peggy Flack was employed by the Amana Corporation in Miami. Upon the passing of her husband, while living in Ocala, she moved to Tucson, Arizona, where for more than 20 years she was a volunteer at St. Joseph's hospital. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Cooke and husband Tim of Dallas; two grandsons in Dallas, Jason Cooke and wife Amy, and Joshua Cooke. She is further survived by her son, James Flack and wife Deborah of Tallahassee; and three grandchildren, Christopher Flack and wife Janie of Tallahassee, Shannon Brown and husband Shaun of Tampa, and Meghan Schweiss and husband Russ of San Antonio. She is also survived by her brother, Jack Arnold and wife Dorothy of Tucson, Ariz.; and five great-grandchildren, Hunter and Julianna Flack of Tallahassee, Aidan and Lily Schweiss of San Antonio, and Jaiden Lee Cooke of Dallas. Peggy also left behind a host of friends and co-workers in Arizona, Florida, Illinois and elsewhere, who as her family, will greatly miss her. Peggy, who now is in heaven with her beloved husband "Jack," will be missed in her passing, as she was loved here on earth. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tallahassee, with interment in Ocala. Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Riggins Road, (850-877-8191) is handling arrangements. The family requests no flowers. However, any gifts in the memory of Peggy Flack may be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

We were so sorry to hear about Peggy's passing. She was a ray of sunshine in our lives and she will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy, Jim, Debbie and her entire family who grieve for this very special person. "Red" will always hold a special place in our hearts and all of you will always be a part of her "Heritage Oaks Family". Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
