Mary D. Copeland Pursley

MARY D. COPELAND PURSLEY, passed away in Pasadena, TX on Thursday, October 17, 2002 after a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Mary D. was born on the family farm October 18, 1919 in Oakhurst, TX to Jack and Nettie Copeland. She is preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and her husband, John Frank Pursley. Mary D. was a loving wife, devoted mother, true friend and trusted advisor to many. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Mary D. will be remembered as a fine Christian woman. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Pursley of Oakhurst, Martha Pursley Childs of Mt. Enterprise, Jerry Pursley and Frankie Pursley Moon of Pasadena; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Grace Johnson of Deer Park and Annie Mae Baine of Huntsville and numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be Friday. October 18, 2002 from 6pm to 8pm at Pasadena Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be Saturday, October 19, 2002 at 4pm at Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst, TX with Rev. Roland Hill officiating.
