Peter Rogers Obituary
1938-2016
Peter L. Rogers, 77, passed away on April 10, 2016. Pete was reared in Chardon, Ohio. He attended Kent State University and held managerial sales jobs in several states. He owned several businesses and clubs in Cleveland before moving to Texas in 1977.
He was well known in the Spring Branch area where he and his wife owned the flag store located on Blalock for 29 years.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, sons Stephen and his wife Selya, Mark and his wife Suzanne, step-daughter, Whitney, brother Carl and his wife Debrah, nephew, Nicholas, and grandchildren, Jane, Truman, Samuel, and Monica.
A memorial service will be held at Fair Haven United Methodist Church at 1330 Gessner Dr. on Saturday, April 16 at 2:00 pm.

During the time of Peter Rogers's funeral last Saturday, I went for a long walk and thought about my cousin. I had spent the most time with Pete when we were young grade-schoolers and both our families lived in southern New England. Pete was two years older, and I appreciated his energy, enthusiasm and good humor.
Seventy years later, walking along the old New England road last Saturday, I felt the same way.

Family/Friends - At this hour in Houston, Texas a memorial service is being held for my brother Peter Leon Rogers who died at age 77 last Sunday, following complications from a stroke last Labor Day.
Sending love to Pete's strong wife and business partner Phyllis, his creative stepdaughter Whitney and his two engaging sons, my nephews, Steve and Mark.
I'm with you in spirit and with love.
