Ray Herndon Obituary

Ray Herndon died April 24, 2013 at the age of 87. He was a Christian and a 50 year member of River Oaks Baptist Church. He was born in Dallas on 8-13-25 and moved to Oklahoma City at 2. At 18 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps for World War II. When the war ended, he went to Oklahoma University but after a year he left to go to an Art School in LA at the suggestion of Norman Rockwell. When he finished he returned to OKC and started his own Advertising Art Studio. At the urging of Ray's friend and fellow artist, Ralph Wall, Ray and Sue moved to Houston in 1961. Ray and Sue lived in Houston for 42 years. Ray and Sue moved back to OKC in 2004. Ray is survived by two daughters, Jan McCall and Kristie Massey, 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Visit Ray's full obituary and guestbook at:
