Leonora,

It's been many many years since I talked with you and/ your mom.
Since I don't subscribe to the newspaper, I Just learned of Revordia's passing. I treasure the memories of the talks she and I shared.
She was definitely a "living testimony"!

God bless You & Keep You!!!!

I have fond memories of Revodia like no other. She knew how to create the biggest Christmas dinner and the best tree. She had the kind of fashion sense that people wish they had. And of course, she was a kind spirit. A counselor indeed. I will always remember the memories Shell and I share growing up and spending the night at grandma's house. My prayers are with you Shell. I know this is a difficult time but continue to hold on to God's unchanging hand. Love you.

To ALL who loved her and cherished her precious Spirit...thank you for your prayers and many messages of comfort and support. I haven't seen many of you for a long time...but your names and memories...and LOVE were always with my mom. Oddly...she is more present to me than ever...hardly a situation arises that Shellsia and I don't smile and share one of her jewels of wisdom ...and "isms" with her Great Grand Children, with whom she shared and loved daily. As I have said to others...the Best way to Honor Revodia Lee Poindexter Johnson is to Love others as you love God and yourself; heal from whatever binds you; and Soar to unimaginable heights while serving others and embracing Life in This Moment...which is ALL each of us really have. Thank you, she had a heart big enough to cherish, know and love each and every one of us...and so it is.

Leonora, please accept my prayers for you and the family. Revodia holds a special place in my heart and I will cherish her memory. She was a powerful influence on me as we worked together. Be blessed and know that you have the support of all of us who loved her dearly. Etta Atkinson

Revodia was an inspirational person. A true role model to all who would notice. Sh had a way of looking at you while in conversation that let you know she wanted to get your real message, not just hear the words you were saying.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To my roommate's family,
When I worked with Revodia, we served as chaperones for the 8th grader's annual trip to New Orleans. We were always assigned as roommates. If you know her , you know I received a free analysis of my life and how I need to change it for the better. I did begin to do some of the things she recommended and they worked.
I would always wake up to her meditation and yoga. Sorry, I couldn't make all of those moves.
I even had her as a consultant at my church. A great voiced silenced...but you know we will hear her more now than when she lived. She will live on in our memories and as we pass her wisdom on.

Her strong and encouraging words of wisdom still stand today. God has added a woman to His flock who will change heaven. Leonora, my prayers are with you and your family. Barbra Phillips Parrish

Revodia was such an amazing person. When I hired her as an elementary counselor, little did I know how much she would teach me.

What can I say about the woman who spent 30 years of her life caring for and loving on me? I love her so much words cannot express. Selfishly, I am saddened that she has left this earth, but elated that she has gone on to meet the Lord. Truly I am blessed to have known her and even more blessed to have been called her child. Not only did she call me her child but she treated me as such. Thousands of memories are flooding my heart and I cherish each one. Thank you grandma for every call, every visit, every chat, every lecture, giving me away at my wedding, celebrating my success, pep talks that kept me moving forward. I will never, ever forget you.

Thank you family for sharing her with me. I know she went over and beyond with me. God gave her to us and I am ever so grateful that He did. Help us Father in this time.......I love you Grandma..... Your special child and your grandchildren, Rickey, Jazmynne, Joshua, and Jacob

My Guardian Angel
The Father sent an angel to watch over me,

To share life's triumphs and life's difficulties.

Never a negative word she spoke, only words of encouragement,

Her mission was to exhort and inspire me, not stand in judgment.

Ever-present for my life's special moments,

Standing proud and always asking, “Now, ‘chile from that experience what did you glean from it?”

Always there to listen when I needed a friendly ear,

Then gave me Godly-counsel that will last me for all my years.

Praying for me always because I was in her Spirit,

It's wonderful to know she interceded for me, because she knew the Father would hear it.

Now my angel has ascended back to Glory from whence she came,

Oh, how she impacted my life and for that I am forever changed!

So wear your crown of life well for you were faithful and true.

I thank God that the special, exceptional, exquisite - guardian angel He sent me was you!

I love you very much and I will miss you dearly. Forever your special child.

Upon entering the front doors of Atwood McDonald Elementary School, the first sound you would hear was "the big voice of encouragement." As you entered the door of the counseling office, you see this petite lady with a big smile and a big heart. She calmly dried teary eyes and left children and adults smiling. This is a permanent memory for me and a well-deserved tribute to Mrs. Johnson. A good and faithful servant she was!

Revodia was the first person I ever met at Unity Church 15 years ago. She has been an inspiration and role model for me since then. I am so thankful to have had the honor of being "raised" by her in my church community. Revodia definitely has made a huge difference in so many lives and will be remembered fondly by us all.

My sincere condolences to Leonora and family members. Revodia was a dear friend as well as a colleague. She was my confidant who was there for me during many challenges both personal and professional. We also enjoyed our times of fellowship at Unity of Fort Worth church where she also was a spiritual guide. She was everything that our Creator asks us to be as we love each other. My mother made her transition on July 14, 2013 and now another beautiful woman is in God's care. I am so grateful for Revodia's presence in my life.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Revodia's family.

Revodia was my friend, counselor and mentor, as she was to many others. Her wisdom and humor have guided me through many difficult times over the years. She certainly had a way of getting through - when Revodia told me, I knew I'd been told! When she started with, "Now listen here!" I knew to pay attention.

She was a very big lady in a very small package, with a style like no one else. That booming voice, all the marvelous hats and beautifully coordinated outfits, and that unforgettable laugh!

I'll miss you, Friend.

Love never ends...
