Sadie Hodges Obituary

SADIE HYLAND HODGES, age 96, of League City, Texas and formerly of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Monday, January 21, 2002. She was born on May 24, 1905 to the late John and Vina Pearce Hyland and was married to the late Charles Jackson (Jack) Hodges. She was a member of St. Vincents Catholic Church in Mobile, Alabama as well as St. Marys' Catholic Church in League City, Texas. She is survived by her sons, Charles Hodges of Clear Lake, Texas; John Hodges of Deer Park, Texas; Robert Hodges of Mobile, Alabama; Daughter, Anne Jelnek of Chapel Hill, North Carolina;eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Richard Hyland and a sister, Anne McKean. Visitation will begin at 9AM on Thursday morning with a service to follow at 10Am at Jack Rowe Funeral Home in League City, Texas. Mrs. Hodges will then be transported to Mobile, Alabama where visitation will begin at 9AM on Saturday morning at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Saturday morning at St. Vincents Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Oak Gardens Personal Care Home management and staff for their kindness and consideration during our mothers' stay at your facility.
