David is preceded in death by his mother, Marell Andrus Donnell Mattox; and his grandparents, Mable Leopold Andrus and Simon Andrus Jr.
David is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Donnell; his three daughters, Susan Donnell, Samantha Donnell, Shadae Donnell; his two sons, Samuel David Donnell II, Stedman Donnell; two step children, Angela Jones (Mark) and Brian Mundy; ten grandchildren, Hallie Donnell, Cayla Guillory, Calie Guillory, Nathan Guillory, Skylar Joseph, Makayalie Joseph, Braylon Joseph, Cameron Jones, Ella Jones and Bryce Mundy; a sister, Diana Donnell-Mason (Mitchel) of Newton, Texas; two brothers, Dana Lenix Donnell of Washington D.C. and James Mattox Jr. of Newton Texas; former wife, Susan Donnell; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, friends and loved ones.

I'm so very sorry to hear of David's passing! I have remembered him fondly after all these years from JHS band. He was always friendly and usually smiling. What a great loss for his family, friends and the world!
