Sheila Marie Armstrong, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, at the age of 83. Sheila was born in Houston, Texas, on September 18, 1941, and spent all of her life in the Lone Star State, residing in Austin and Tow, and Houston, Texas.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry Armstrong and Lorraine Margaret Walter; her first husband, Vincent E. Smith Jr., the father of her children; her second husband, Patrick C. Long; and her brothers, John Henry "Jack" Armstrong and Thomas Michael Armstrong. She is survived by her sons, Vincent E. Smith III and Kevin Kennedy Smith; daughter-in-law Carine Smith; and granddaughters Elizabeth and Emily Smith, who were her pride and joy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the literary charity of your choice.
