Just today I got an e-mail from a fellow student of our class of "76". The e-mail broke my heart, as it was a list of our classmates who's lives have been cut short. I stood side by side with Cliff on the football field. He was a friend and a heck of a football player. I'm so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed reading about his life as a man of God and family man. Wendy and family,
    I am so sad to hear of Cliff's passing. I have such wonderful memories of you all when you ministered to our youth here in Santa Paula. You and Cliff were so good to me and my son, Jake and daughter, Shannon. I hated to see you leave our little town. I am sure this has been a very difficult time for you. I hope you find comfort in the love of our God and your memories of Cliff.
         ~~~with all my love and prayers,
Williams' Family~
It makes me feel so very blessed to know you. I treasure the time we were able to spend in Nampa and am so grateful for the chance to know Cliff. His hands on preaching and depth for human love was unmatchable. Some people will never have this type of connection with their pastor and Tim and I agree that our lives were enriched to have been able to. Our prayers are with you as we grieve as well. We love you guys so much and hope to see you again.
Dear Jordan, Marci & Family,
We're thinking of you with sorrow and sympathy of your loss at this time.  Memories of your father will always hold an important place in your life. The love you shared will keep him close forever in your heart.Though we try to prepare, we are never prepared enough,
but there is a compassionate God in heaven who sees, who cares, who comforts. May you feel God's presence as you grieve the loss of your father.
All our love,
Jason, Shannon, Seth & Kayla
Cliff, your preaching taught me so much about our God. Your honesty about who you are and how you walked with Jesus on this earth made me realize the importance of being real to those we minister to. I will always hold you and your Wendy in my heart and am so thankful for the teaching and healing I received under you guys in the 3 years we were a part of The Rock. Thank you for loving God and loving people and teaching me to do the same.
To the Williams family: my heart breaks for you. I love you and will continue to keep you in my prayers.
I was privileged enough to meet Cliff just over two years ago, and although it was during a very difficult time, I saw a man live out his faith with much dignity and grace. My walk with the Lord will forever be influenced by this Godly man.
Pastor, I will never forget that meeting we had when you pointed me to God again and reminding me that God is always there, even when I questioned his presence. I am sad of the days I missed you sharing God's word. I will miss you, but I know as long as I continue to be a faithful follower, I will get to see you again! "Fair Winds and Following Seas" Shipmate and Pastor! Thank you for your service to our country and The Rock.
Dear Lord, Thank you for Cliff's life and making him a man of love and passion for You! For giving him Wendy, a wife who matched his passion with never ending support and love. Thank you for all the lives he has touched from within his own home to all around the world!
Please hold Wendy and the kids in your loving strong arms. And we ask that all who attend the memorial service will sense Your Presence and Love touching each of their lives. Thank You Good God!
