Darlene Mowry Obituary

Darlene J. Mowry of Nampa, Idaho, died of natural causes at a Boise hospital on January 14, 2010. Darlene was born April 29, 1928, in Scottsbluff, Neb., to Henry and Nathalia Schwartzkopf.
After growing up in Scottsbluff with two brothers, Curtis and Willis, she left to attend college in Denver, Colo. After college she returned home to Scottsbluff, where she met and married Joe Mowry on December 4, 1947.
They moved to Southern Idaho in 1948 where they started their family, having three children - Joette, Kevin (Nathalia) and Stacy. In 1971, Darlene and her family moved to Nampa where they lived until 1974. They moved to Kansas City, Kan., for one year and then to Little Rock, Ark., for one year before returning to Nampa in 1976 where she spent the rest of her life.
Darlene liked bowling, camping and golfing, but most of all loved spending time with her family. She is survived, and greatly missed, by her husband Joe, children Joette and Dave Teater, Kevin (Natalie) and David Ballard, Stacy and Michel Mowry, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held for family and friends at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell, Idaho, on Monday, January 18, 2010, at 11:30 a.m. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family using their online guestbook at www.dakanfuneralchapel.com.
