ROLAND YOKOM Obituary
Roland was born to Arthur and Lena Yokom in Walla Walla, WA on April 30, 1938 and was the first of 12 children. He grew up and attended schools in Baker, OR. Roland married his high school sweetheart Anne Compton in 1958. He supported his family working as a retail salesman. Together they raised their son and two daughters. Later they divorced.
He then moved to Meridian where he met his new neighbor Maude French whom he married in 1985. They traveled, loved visiting family and cared for each other until her passing in 1993.
Roland was introduced to Donna Andrews in 1995. Although they did not marry, she accepted his family as her own. They were inseparable until her death in 2012.
He is survived by daughters Debra (Randy) Holloway, of Middleton, Robin Simmons (Richard Carr), of Caldwell, five grandkids, seven great-grandkids - a new one soon, seven brothers, three sisters and their families.
Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, loving companion, sister, and his son Larry.
Special thanks from the family to all the caring staff at Meadow View Rehab for the loving care they gave their "Roly".
A Graveside Service will be held Friday, October 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Riverside Cemetery in Payette.
