Mr. Clarence Green Jr., 92, of Kannapolis, passed away at his home Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held for family and friends Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 12 to 2 p.m., at Wilkinson Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m., with Pastor Ronald Hartman officiating. He will be laid to rest at West Lawn Cemetery in China Grove.

Clarence was born April 24, 1929, in Cabarrus County, a son of the late Clarence Green and Odella Furr Green. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Coggins Green; sons, Roger Dale and Timothy Green, and three siblings.

Clarence retired from Cannon Mills. He enjoyed building stuff and tinkering, as any other man would, but his biggest job was making sure his wife was happy and that his family was taken care of, a job that made him happy as well.

He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Rickey Green and wife, Eleanor, of Concord, Bobby Green, Terry Green, Perry Green and wife, Sandy, all of Kannapolis, Teresa Green and husband, Conley of Salisbury, and Herman Wagoner of Kannapolis; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Hartman; numerous nieces, nephews, his canine buddy, Gus, and other loving relatives and friends.
