I am Darrell´s step daughter and I have to say that i´m very greatfull that I got to know him. He was so a Kind person and he was always looking out for us. I didn´t see him often, but I was looking forward for the time when he and my mom, finally got to Mexico, so we could have a stronger relationship, but the times we had together were great and I really wish he could be still between us. My son (he is 7 years old) told me the other day.... Mom, i miss him so much.... Although they couldnt comunicate very well, because Darrel didn´t speak spanish and my son doesn´t speak english, they communicated with the heart and they loved echa other very very much. The loss for me and for my sons is very big, but we know that he is looking out for us and that the love that existed between us, will never end.

Darrell was one of my best friends for many years. We worked together in Foreigh Military Sales for the Marine Corps. he was very deicated employee and loved his job. He also loved his two sons and was very proud of them. He spoke highly of them and treasured his visits with them. Darrell and his new wife Monica bought a house a few blocks from me and dedicated themselves to remodeling it. He had many talents. I had the pleasure of Darrell and Monica having me and my son over for lunch a few weeks before he passed. Although our jobs took us in different directions we always kept in touch. I was the first person Monica called when she found out Darrell had passed. It was a devasting call for me, I can only imagine the impact it had on Monica and his sons, brohters and sisters. I can't express enough my sympathy for all of you. H3e will be remembered by me in a positive way, never to be forgoten.

I know Darrell will be truly missed by his family, coworkers and friends. I worked with Darrell at Systems Command in Quantico. He had so much knowledge of what the Marine needed in the field, and helped me so much, for this I will always be grateful. He had such a great sense of humor, always made tough times at work seem so unimportant. I will miss visiting him when I am in Albany. My prayers are with Monica, his sons, whom he talked about so much, and his family, God Bless all of you during this difficult time.

I have known Darrell for many years working at MCLB and off duty hours. He was a great person to work with and to have as a friend. I will miss him! I do have one thing that will keep Darrell alive in my mind and heart. Every Day Lilly that I have in my yard came from him. The beauty and color will be a ever lasting reminder of who he was.

I had the great pleasure to work with Darrell over the past five years and can't image anyone else doing all he did for the war fighters. He was the guy behind the scenes getting it done. His smile and hummer will be missed. Semeper Fidelis Darrell
