It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Kevin Michael Mullis, 43, of Concord, who passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Atrium Health-Main, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 25, 1980, in Charlotte, NC, Kevin was the cherished son of Sherry Hartsell Mullis and the late Crawford "Pete" Wilson Mullis, Jr.

Kevin graduated from Northwest High School in 1999 and built a career at Summit Fire & Security, where he worked for many years. A devoted member of SOJO Church, Kevin served his community and church in numerous ways, embodying the spirit of dedication and service.

Kevin's passion for Mustangs was well-known; he loved collecting and working on them in his spare time. His love for the outdoors was evident through his hobbies of fishing and 4-wheeling, activities that brought him immense joy. However, Kevin's greatest pride and joy were his children, Landon Tyler Mullis and Shayla Marie Mullis. He was a devoted father who treasured every moment spent with his kids, always showing them unconditional love and support.

Kevin is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 18 years, Amber Sides Mullis; his beloved children, Landon Tyler Mullis and Shayla Marie Mullis; his loving mother, Sherry Hartsell Mullis; and his lifelong brother, David Mauney.

A memorial service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at SOJO Church, officiated by Pastors Corey Alley and Eric Lively. The family will greet friends from 4 to 5:45 p.m. prior to the service.

Kevin's legacy of love, passion, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, his unwavering love for his family, and his zest for life.
