Lillian Vermillion Obituary

Lillian C. Vermillion CONCORD Mrs. Lillian Collett Vermillion passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, at First Assembly Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Friendship Southern Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. Jessie Watkins. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. prior to service at the church. Lillian was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Concord, to the late David Franklin Collett and Bettie Coley Collett. She was a retired respiratory therapist at NorthEast Medical Center and a member of Friendship Southern Baptist Church. Lillian is survived by her husband, John D. Vermillion; sons, Marshall Vermillion and wife, Betty, of Winter Park, Fla. and David Vermillion and wife, Gail, of Concord; grandchildren, Jeff Vermillion, Ashley Vermillion-Harris, Adam Vermillion and wife, Emily, and Philip Vermillion; and great-grandchildren, Annie Fleming and Betty Harris. Memorials may be made to Friendship Southern Baptist Church, 180 West St. SW, Concord, NC 28027. Online condolences may be sent to www. wilkinsonfuneralhome. com. To Lillian's Family; I wanted to attend the Funeral of Dear Lillian so badly, however at age 88 , every day is a challenge and today, I was just not up to the challenge. I regret that deeply. Please know that my heart will be there even though my body cannot.I loved her.
