Janet Skaggs Obituary
Bloomington, IN - Janet Marie Skaggs, 62, of Bloomington, passed away on October 16, 2018.
Janet was born on February 1, 1956 to the late Richard and Maxine Skaggs in Indianapolis. She was a Warren Central High School graduate, attended Ball State University, and worked as an automotive claims adjuster for many years. Janet loved spending time outdoors working in her garden, boating, water skiing and going on adventures. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, and Christmas was by far her favorite holiday to gather everyone together. Janet had a warm infectious smile that lit up the room and will be remembered for her kind gentle spirit.
She leaves behind her daughter, Abby Newport (Josh); grandchildren, Jordan and Tessa Newport; partner, Brad Bindhamer; 5 sisters; 2 brothers; 17 nieces and nephews; 24 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother.
Friends and family are invited to gather from 10:00-1:00pm on Friday, October 19, 2018, at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm.

I believe that Janet was a cheerleader for my father, John Orr. My dad kept trophies and pictures of the kids he coached. He had a wooden block that had pictures of each cheerleader on it. The girls made it for him. It was always on his hall of fame wall in his homes. When I saw Janet's high school picture I recognized it. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was way to young.
