John Alexander Obituary

John W. Alexander, II 57 of Mooresville, Indiana, died Saturday, October 6, 2007. He graduated from Culver Military Academy and attended Indiana University. John worked in management for the Sheraton Corporation for many years, retiring in 1996. He most recently was employed by I.U.P.U.I. as a project manager in the Office of the Registrar. John enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with his friends. In addition he was a member of the Culver Military Academy Alumni Association. John was preceded in death by his mother, Harriett (Harmon) Alexander; father, John W. Alexander; mother's companion, Marjorie Richter. Survivors include life partner, M. Elliot Carte of Mooresville; sister, Linda Halliwill (Dean) of Orono, Minnesota; nieces, Kelly Halliwill of California, Pamela Rubin of California, Nicole Halliwill of Orono, Minnesota; mother-in-law, Esther J. Carte of Mooresville, Indiana. Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, October 10, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007, in the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Mooresville Cemetery.
