Theron M. Shaw Sr.

Theron M. Shaw, Sr. 70, Mitchell, formerly of Martinsville, passed away at 5:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Born October 25, 1935 in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, he was the son of Otis Orin and Teenie (Lester) Shaw. He married Janice Kunkler May 18, 1957, and she preceded him in death February 11, 2004. He retired from General Motors-Chevrolet in Indianapolis, and was a member of United Auto Workers. Surviving him are his daughters, Martina Marie Fields of Mitchell, and Dorothy Jean Sullivan of Gainesville, FL; sons, Theron Shaw, Jr. of Pinhook, Michael Anthony Shaw of Mitchell, and Otis Orin Shaw of Martinsville; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 11 at Chastain Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
