ELISE (nee Zeme), died on July 3, 2014. Wife of the late Rabbi Harold B. Waintrup. Loving mother of Miriam Waintrup (John Harding), Daniel (Linda) Waintrup, and the late Debra Mittelman. Mother-in-law of Alan Mittelman (Barbara Freed). Beloved grandmother of Lisa, Michael, Talor, Rebecca, Samantha, and Kimberly. Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services Monday 11 A.M. precisely at Old York Road Temple-Beth Am, 971 Old York Rd., Abington, Pa., 19001. Int. Shalom Memorial Park. Following interment, shiva will be observed from 3-7 P.M. at Old York Road Temple-Beth Am. Contributions in her memory may be made to Old York Road Temple-Beth Am.

Dear Family,
I have such wonderful memories of how Harold and Elise gave me a home away from home when I was in graduate school at Penn. There were the Passover seders of course. I also remember Elise taking me for afternoon tea at the Four Seasons. Elise was special. I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Elise's family and friends. I had the good fortune to know her during the ten years I worked for Rabbi Waintrup at Beth Am. I know she will be greatly missed.
