Pamela Norley Obituary

Norley Pamela Jarman Passed away peacefully on May 14, 2022 surrounded by family. She was 79 years old and was born to William Howard Jarman and Cormedah Fleetwood Jarman on October 3, 1942 in Wynnewood, PA. She attended Haverford High School, and in 1959, married the love of her life, Walter N. Norley III, who predeceased her after 59 years of marriage. Her family was her passion and she spoke with them daily. Pam is survived by her four children, Pam (Donn), Walter (Allison), Todd (Doreen) and Missy (Bob), her brother, Terry Jarman (Tracy), her niece, Corey Jarman, 13 beloved grandchildren, Katie, Allie, Todd, Zack, Kelsey, Lucie, Ashley, Charlie, Abbi, Taylor, Will, Nelson and Grace and nine great grandchildren, Hudson, Mars, Bennett, Hope, Vivien, Hazel, Mac, Jamie and Paige. Pam and Walt married in 1959, and traveled around the country as Walt played professional baseball in the early years of their marriage. They settled in the Philadelphia suburbs and had four children by their mid 20s. A natural athlete, Pam became an avid tennis player, playing with family and friends, and then took up running in her mid 30s when she and Walt moved to Doylestown, PA. She was also a voracious reader who instilled in her children the love of reading. Once the children were raised, Pam turned to interior design, establishing Pamela J. Interiors and expressing her creativity in decorating numerous homes, including her own. Pam and Walt split their time among Doylestown, Ocean City, N.J., and North Palm Beach, FL, always bringing family and friends along for fun and good times, of which there were many. Pam exemplified beauty, grace and kindness in everything she did and in every interaction she had. She moved with Walt to the Low Country in 1992 and took up golf with a passion, playing in the Women's League at Colleton River in Bluffton, SC where she lived for 25 years. Pam served on the Colleton River Golf Committee, was active with Operation Colleton River, and enjoyed reading and discussing books with her friends in the First Monday Book Club. Pam was a long time member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Stephen Minister for a number of years. A Memorial Service will be held at the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church on June 11, 2022 at 2 P.M. A celebration of Pam's life and reception will be held beginning at 5 P.M. at 165 Inverness Drive in Colleton River. In memory of Pam, please wear anything with her trademark leopard print. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church Stephen Ministry Fund.
