DOUGLAS STAMPER Obituary
Doug had many hobbies ranging from football while in high school, drawing and painting, to fishing in the Owens River with his two daughters, Angela and Jessica. He worked as a chef in Bishop for many years and in 2008 they relocated to Gardnerville, NV where he continued to pursue a career in culinary arts. Douglas was best known for his artwork. He volunteered a lot of his time teaching arts to students in Angela and Jessica's classrooms.
Doug is preceded in death by his father, Merle Stamper. He is survived by his two daughters, Angela Stamper of Portland, OR and Jessica Stamper of Reno, NV; mother, Lois Stamper of Bishop, CA; sisters, Pamela Stamper of Purceville, VA and Lori McCartney-McLaughlin and her husband, Ted of Rockport, TX; brothers, Philip and Greg Stamper both of Bishop, CA; nieces, Tanya Kimbrel and her husband, Kyle, and Shannon McCartney; nephews, Thomas and Michael Morris; great nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Memorial for Douglas Stamper is set for Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Church of Christ, 287 Grove Street in Bishop at 11:00am.
