Sure do miss this man! Hard to believe it's been 3 years already! He was my mentor. My family followed him from Tabernacle ARP (Charlotte, NC) and helped form Idlewild ARP (Charlotte, NC). My father & Dr. Wallace were very close. I'll always think about him fondly & I'll forever think about him!! He married me & my 1st husband, too. Thank you for everything, Bob!!

Dr.Bob was a very influential person in my life especially in my vulnerable teen years. He had a unique God-given gift of lovingly connecting and pulling out the best in me and others. It was undeniably clear that his purpose while here on earth was to prick as many hearts as possible. He touched my heart and provided guidance to try and set me on the right path. Even though I strayed many times throughout my life, I believe those young life lessons taught by Dr.Bob gave me the root system I needed to become the strong independent woman I am today. He was always there for me and others. He provided us a shoulder to cry on; a heart to truly listen; open arms to give a needed hug and eyes to see our potential. He never gave up on me. He wanted all of us to see that we were not ordinary ...we were extraordinary! He inspired me and instilled in me that all things were possible with just a mustard seed of faith.Dr.Bob was my confidant ; my counselor and friend.
Reflecting back,I honestly don´t think I could´ve survived without his unique wisdom and advice.
I will miss him greatly, but I am looking forward to seeing him again.

No finer man have I ever known than Bob Wallace. From Tabernacle to Idlewild and the New Vibrations, he meant so much to so many of us at such a young age. I can still hear his voice, sermons and sage advice. Peace and Love to you forever.

There are so many things about Dr. Bob that we remember and so many funny situations we still laugh about. Dr. Bob married us almost 30 years ago. We also worked with him as advisors for a couple of years with the New Vibes--a most interesting and exciting time! We will not be able to attend the memorial service, but we send all our love to the family, and pray for God's peace that passes all understanding to abound. Much love...

Dr. Bob was a mentor and friend. He was my assistant minister when I was 6 years old and I moved to his first church (Idlewild ARP) as a member at the age of 15 where he had a profound impact on my life. He officiated my marriage to my college sweetheart, Jamey. We just celebrated 35 years being married. My memories span over many years, when Bobbie, Bryan and Brandon were young. Bonclarken, New Vibrations, beach trips wrapped in love, friendship, he was my a safe landing place as a teenager. Dr Bob spoke many words of wisdom to me and others. I am so grateful.

Bob was my mentor, my father his. He conducted our family's weddings, funerals, and was there through good times & bad. He was there when my mother died in 1974. I'm having a hard time believing this has happened, we just saw him (thankfully) at my step-mothers memorial service in June. He was gracious & happy to perform her service. I will always miss him but I'm so happy he has gone home!! I can't wait to see him again!! Laurie

Dr. Bob married Joe and I in 1993. I loved going to Idlewild Presbyterian. He was the best preacher I have ever heard. He was a wonderful person. I know he will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.

Bob was a wonderful man. I always enjoyed talking with him at family events. He and I shared a special bond when he met and married Donna. He was in his second marriage a year after Tom and I got married. We enjoyed sharing your excitement and wedding. I know you will miss him greatly, but know you were greatly loved.
