Donna L. Murphy

PEABODY "? Donna L. (Mansfield) Murphy, 74, beloved wife of Donald Murphy, died peacefully early Thursday morning October 4, 2018 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, while in the comforting presence of her family, following a brief illness. Born in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marjorie (Freeman) Mansfield.  She grew up in Swampscott and later moved to Lynn, where she graduated from Lynn Classical High School. She lived in Peabody for the last 45 years. Donna worked as a Veterinarian's Assistant for Dr. Zak.  Besides nurturing her family, she supported her husband as an admin assistant at The Video Store at Lowe Mart in Peabody, Murphy's Tap & Bite, and for the North Shore Shopping Center offices. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing the landscaping and gardening work, was an Associate Member of the VFW in Peabody, and was well-known for her skills playing Texas Hold-Em Poker.  She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and helping care for her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Donald Murphy of Peabody, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage; two sons, Donald Murphy, II of Concord, Daniel "DJ"? Murphy of Peabody, and a daughter Denise Murphy of Peabody; five grandchildren, Paige Murphy, Carter Murphy, Lily Murphy, Luke Murphy, and Daniel Sypek; a brother Charles "Frederick"? and his wife Theresa Mansfield of FL, two sisters Cynthia and her husband William Russell of Alabama, and Charlene and her husband Robert Curtin of Andover, a sister-in-law Bonnie Mansfield of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. Service information: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Wednesday October 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 "? 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
