Lilia Barela

Lilia Barela, 90, of Pomona passed away February 21, 2005 at Country Oaks Care Center. She was born March 29, 1914, in Pomona and was a life long resident of Pomona. She was a retired caregiver at Pacific State Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pomona. She loved spending time caring for others. Lilia is survived by her brothers, Chris Barela of San Dimas and Robert Barela of Pomona; sister, Francis Walden of Gardenerville, Nevada; two grandchildren, David Barela Noguer and Maria Marcella Noguer; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda D., Marcella R. Christina A., Anthony D. and Ariana C. Noguer, Charles "C.J." and Niko D. Henigan. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. with Vigil at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, February 27 at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 28, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pomona. Committal will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pomona. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
