Bill was one of the best people born to this world. He was an overall "great" person, a "wise man," a family man and example of what a great human being and "real man" can be. He sacrificed for his entire family - always providing whatever he could. He was a true friend that I still miss and think regularly of. He was an incredible husband to my mother, and a great friend and father to all his children and step children. He still remains missed in the minds and hearts of all those who knew him. We love and miss you greatly Bill!

Bill, my memories of you are great! You came into my life at the age of 5 and became my FATHER. You helped my mother who you loved so much raise her children. You believed in me more than I did myself. You encouraged me to be the best at whatever I did. You saw me through my good times and bad, and were always an inspiration. I was fortunate to have you in my life, to lecture me on Sundays; to help me with my math homework (you are a math genius!), to beat me in checkers so bad that I could beat anyone of my friends:); to help me deliver my paper route in the pouring rain, then give me money to buy a dozen donuts; to steal my bike when I left it out to teach me a lesson; to repair our cars on that hot Gardenia driveway; to repair anything in our home; to remind me that tomorrow is another day, and I would live if I didn't go out that nite; to let me stumble, fall, and pick myself up again; to put me around others who were better than me, so I could rise to that level; to teach me critical thinking, and to take the "hard right" instead of the "easy left"; to teach me all about your past, the western movies, the farm, and the jazz; You told me, "Your brightest day sometimes comes at your darkest hour." You rooted the "underdog", and stood for equality. You were a man of integrity, your word, bond; a selfless man who motivated others to succeed. I will share your story with my wife and kids and only hope to impact them as you did me. I am grateful for your presence in my life and I thank you for loving my mother for 25+ years. I will never forget you Bill. Thank you for coming into my life and making me the man I am today.

Bill, Thank-you for nearly 30 years of love and caring for my mom and her 4 children. You made all of us very happy. Stella could not have had a better life; one that she will cherish until all days end. I miss our conversations, eating sweets together, and slouching on the chair. I miss your presence. Love T.C.

Bill,

I only wish I had more time with you...more time to know you and reap the benefits of your "wise counsel"! My husband, Joe, always told me you were his "sounding board" and his "voice of reason". You are already sorely missed by many. Please stay close to Stella, she still needs you...
