PATRICIA "PATTY" IRENE ALFORD

Patricia Alford, 46, of El Centro passed away on Friday, May 26, 2013.
Patricia was born to Mike and Sandy Alford on March 21, 1967 in El Centro, CA. She attended local schools in El Centro, including Central Union High School. She married Greg Duron on October 16, 1998 in Riverside CA. Her son Gregory Duron III was born on November 14, 1990. Patricia spent most of her life living in El Centro, but also resided in Yuma Arizona, Watsonville, CA and Denver Colorado. She was a loving person who enjoyed taking care of others including in her work as a Social Worker for the State of Arizona and as a school bus driver. Patty was known for her caring personality and her vivacious and bubbly spirit.
She is survived by her son, Gregory Duron; brothers, Tim Alford and Tony Alford; sister-in-laws, Donna Alford and Shelly Alford.
She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Mike and Sandy Alford; brothers, Tommy Alford and Troy Alford; husband, Gregory Duron.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in El Centro, CA at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

I am sadden to hear of Patty's passing. I met Patty in the 5th grade when I was transferred to Lincoln School. She befriended me at a time when I knew no one at the school, for which I am grateful. I have many fond memories of growing up with Patty.

So sorry to hear the news of Patty's passing. I had the joy of being Patty's sixth grade teacher at Lincoln School. She was a bright, happy girl and always had a smile for everyone. May you rest in peace, Patty.

Patty, It is hard to believe and I am saddened to hear that my long childhood friend has passed . I have so many childhood memories of you and I! Your first day at Lincoln School (First grade)and our friendship that evolved throughout the years.. You are loved and will be missed!!
