BRIAN C. MCDONALD Jr.

MCDONALD, BRIAN C. JR. - 26, of Tekonsha, passed away, October 21, 2009 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti. He was born August 1, 1983 in Monroe to Brian C. and Sheryl (Lowry) McDonald Sr. He married Kristi Wilson on October 11, 2009 in Ypsilanti and she survives. Brian grew up in Homer, he was active in 4-H and sports, graduating from Homer High School in 2001. He worked at Nagel Meat Processing in Homer. He is survived by his wife, Kristi McDonald of Tekonsha; two sons, Brian C. III and Kaleb McDonald of Marshall; three stepchildren, Haley, Stephanie, and Billy Wilson of Tekonsha; mother, Sheryl McDonald of Homer; dear friend and father figure, Joseph Nagel; two sisters, Jeanette DePue of Carson City, Cindy Viano of Homer; grandparents, Jack and Rosemary McDonald of Temperance, Virginia Fleazer of Milan; stepgrandmother, Beverly Lowry of Brooklyn; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Sr.; and grandfather, Morris Lowry. Brian loved to be in the outdoors where fishing and hunting were his passion. He enjoyed woodworking and he made many beautiful things. He especially loved his children and was very mild mannered. He was a good worker and took pride doing the job correctly. Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Putnam's of Tekonsha. Services will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the First Baptist Church of Tekonsha with Pastor Kim Wilcox officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Homer. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
