Dan is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Susan (Phelps) Abner; two children, Jeff (Cherri) Abner and Jodi (Paul, Sr.) Kope; five grandchildren, Kylie, Morgan (Josh), Alexis, Meredith, and Paul Jr. (Hillari); one great-grandson, Brock; sister, Nancy Abner; brother-in-law, Ken Smothers; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and one sister, Cathy Smothers.

From our early days spending summer time and special holidays together, Danny was always fun-loving and happy. I´m so saddened that he has had to spend so long suffering with serious health problems. One thing I will remember about Danny is his love for our Lord. He was truly a man of faith, and he lived a life of love. RIP dear Cuz.
