Myles Schimmel Obituary
Myles Manson Schimmel, 57, of Kilmore, Ind., died at 9:30 a.m. at his home on January 20, 2015, following a brief illness. He was born June 2, 1957 in Frankfort to George and Gloria (Thompson) Schimmel. A 1974 graduate of Frankfort High School, he attended Purdue University. Myles was a 25-year associate at Subaru of Indiana, working on the Subaru testing line. He was a lifelong Kilmore resident. He loved to fish in the upper peninsula of Michigan and enjoyed his Willys Jeep. Myles enjoyed all the times with his family and was admired and looked up to by many.
He is survived by 2 sons, Levi (Reno) Schimmel of Kilmore, Josh Schimmel of Kilmore; 1 daughter, Kylee Schimmel of Lafayette; parents, George & Gloria Schimmel of Frankfort; sister, Tonia (Kevin) Parrish of Angola; 3 grandchildren, Layla Schimmel, Charley and Koltin Minor.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his dog, Stevie.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Goodwin Funeral Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, at the funeral home. Craig Overman of the Kilmore United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Kilmore Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund. I was saddened to hear Myles had passed away. My thoughts go out to his family and especially to his parents George and Gloria of whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for many years now. I enjoyed my dealings with Myles when we did meet.

Milo will be greatly missed at work. I've had alot of fun and good conversations over the last decade, especially hearing the fish stories and seeing the supporting photos. Rest in peace my friend.
