A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville with the Rev. Henry Potter officiating. Burial will follow at the Padgett Family Cemetery with military honors.
He was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Survivors include wife, Christine Rochelle Marriott of Maple Hill; sons, Charles "Danny" Marriott of Morganton, Timothy R. Marriott of Maple Hill and Terence I. Marriott of Beulaville; daughters, Cindy Goodall of Hubert, Robin Rochelle of Maple Hill and Tina Thompson of Wadesboro; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; mother, Dorothy Cole of Covington, Ky.; sisters, Emily Mongenas of Cincinnati, Ruth Marriott of Covington, Ky., and Alfreda Meiners of Terre Haute, Ind.; and brothers, Kenneth Bryant and Anthony Bryant, both of Cincinnati.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at 383 Padgett Road in Jacksonville.
