Douglas Fosberg Obituary
Born in Webster City, Iowa, on October 22, 1950; he was the son of the late John Cordell and Betty McGuire Fosberg.
Msgt. Fosberg retired from the United States Marine Corps in 1999, after 26 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Delores Capps Fosberg, of the home; a daughter, Rebecca (Vernon) Thornton of Raleigh, NC; two grandchildren, Zachary Thornton and Amber Thornton, of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Janet Rodriguez, of Marshalltown, Iowa; and his mother-in-law, Blanche Capps, of Hemingway, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018, in the Chapel of Waters-Powell Funeral Home in Florence, SC. Burial with full military honors will follow in Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, SC 20090-6011.
