Thomas Miner Obituary

Thomas Scott Miner (Tommy), 60, of Sterling, CO, passed away on November 12, 2023. He was born on January 24, 1963, in Evergreen, CO, and later moved to Sterling in 1975. Tommy graduated from Sterling High School in 1981. He was a charismatic and fun-loving man who had a knack for brightening up any room with his joyful presence. Thomas was a accomplished wrestler, winning numerous trophies and participating in state wrestling competitions. He loved the sport and had the opportunity to travel to many places for wrestling tournaments. In addition to wrestling, he enjoyed working on cars, spending time with friends and family, and showcasing his talent as an artist. Though Thomas did not have children of his own, he treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his. He was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Thomas will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his brothers Stanley (Jody) Miner of Loveland, CO, and Sid Miner of Loveland, CO; his sister Brenda (Alonzo) Mustard of Sterling, CO, and Denise (Tim) Bishop of Denver, CO; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and June Miner, his brother Ronnie, and sister-in-law Debra Miner. Thomas had a fulfilling career working on oil rigs and doing construction work. His dedication and hard work were evident in everything he did. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 4 PM at Berean Church located at 12527 County Rd. 37, Sterling, CO 80751. Following the service, a potluck style reception will take place, with main dishes provided. Attendees are welcome to bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share. In lieu of flowers, contributions to help with funeral expenses can be made at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, located in Sterling, CO, on behalf of Thomas Miner. Thomas Miner will be remembered for his infectious laughter, caring nature, and the joy he brought to the lives of those around him. He leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all who knew him.

I went to Sterling High for less than 9 weeks but had Tom in a P E class while there .. He truely was the life of the party .. He always displayed those muscles because we always asked him ... RIP Brother ...
