Mary Walker Obituary
Graveside services for Mary Walker, 85, of San Bruno, Calif.will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007 at Chico Cemetery. Mary passed away Nov. 22, 2007 in San Bruno, Calif. She was born Oct. 5, 1922 in Watonka. SD.
Mary moved to Chico in 1924. She attended Chico Sr. High, graduating in 1942. Mary worked at the Chico Army Airfield during WW ll.
She married Richard N. Walker Oct. 17, 1942. They moved to San Francisco, Calif. in 1948. Their son Stephen was born Nov. 5, 1952. Mary then worked for Mackay Radio and ITT Corp. as a Teletype operator. Later she worked for the National Auto Theft Bureau.
Mary was an enthusiastic member of the Bay Area Thimble Society Sewing Group. She was past president of the American Business Women's Assoc.
Mary is survived by son, Stephen, of San Bruno, Calif.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, evening, Nov. 27, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at Bidwell Chapel.
