May 7, 1955 - December 9, 2023
Robert "Rob" Hinrichs current resident of Sterling, NE, but long time resident of Lincoln, NE passed peacefully on December 9, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Rob was born May 7, 1955 to Robert "Bob" and Shirley (Gustafson). He enjoyed fishing, hunting, going out on his boat, camping and the great outdoors.
He loved spending time with his family, friends and life itself.
Rob is survived by his wife Lucinda, Christopher and Jillian Ward, Jennifer and Todd Von Stup, sons Jim and John Hinrichs, granddaughters Daisy and Lily Ward, and grandson Nic Von Stup.
A viewing at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home will be on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A private burial will be in Trenton, NE. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Nebraska Game and Parks.

I would like to send my condolences to Lucinda and family. You have my heart felt sympathy for your loss. Robbie was one of my oldest friends here in Lincoln going back to Grade School at Calvert. I have fond childhood memories of time spent at the Hinrich's home. When I moved back to Lincoln in 2004 Robbie help me find my first Townhome that help me in my transition from Arlington Texas. Robbie was a good natured man and fun to spend time with I will miss him!

I am saddened to know of Rob´s passing as the memories flood me with all the time we spent chasing Mallards and Geese, deer and playing in the woods and ponds, lakes and rivers. I am shocked as I suddenly miss him and his funny sense of humor that made each day so very short but sweet. My warmest condolences and thoughts are with him and his family. Rob will be missed by everyone who knew him.
