Antoni Gryszkiewicz Obituary

RACINE - Antoni Gryszkiewicz, 87, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Antoni was born in Poland on August 13, 1922, to Jan and Kazimiera Gryszkiewicz. He married Genowefa 'Jenny' Tylenda on May 3, 1952. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2007. Antoni worked as a Molder at Racine Steel Casting and also part- time at St. Luke's Hospital. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Antoni enjoyed gardening, fishing, and playing cards with family. He is survived by his daughters, Ellen Harrison, Teresa (Steve) Meinel, and Harriet (Lou DiCerbo) Gryszkiewicz; grandchildren, Jaimie Utley, Nicholas Meinel, Katherine Meinel, and Kristine Meinel; and great-grand- daughter, Lauryn Utley. Antoni is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives in Sweden and Poland, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters. Mass of Christian Burial for Antoni will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, May 14, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Highway 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
