Elizabeth Mary Weise

1921 - 2014

Weise, Elizabeth Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Weise went to be with her Lord on May 30, 2014, at the age of 93. Betty was born on December 1, 1921 in Whitefish Bay, the fourth of six children to Dr. John T. Klein and Mary (McSweeney) Klein. Dr. Klein founded the Milwaukee Burn Center at St. Mary's Hospital in 1954. Betty attended Holy Angles High School and continued her education at the University of Wisconsin where she met her future husband, Paul Carl Weise. Paul and Betty were married in Boston, February 1, 1945. Betty was a homemaker active at St. Robert's Parish as a member of the Altar Society and Sisters of Charity. She served in the Shorewood Women's Club and its Thrift Shop. For many years, Betty was a Girl Scout leader who enthusiastically supported her daughters in scouting. Betty was known by all for her gregarious, generous, and cheerful spirit. She was a loving and devoted mother to her seven children, all of who attended Atwater Grade School and Shorewood High School. Betty is survived by her seven children and their spouses; Jane (Jack) Tankersley, Mary Beth (the late Woody) Baskerville, Donna (Dennis) Pehoski, Patricia (Fred) Michalski, Pamela (Oliver) Parr, Paul (Muffie) Weise, Jr., John (Cynthia) Weise, sixteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 10, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 11, at 11:00 AM at St. Robert Catholic Church, corner of East Capitol Drive and North Farwell Avenue, Shorewood, followed by entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
