Dear "Ken Doll" I don't know where to begin. I would have done so many things different that day if I knew you only had moments left before you would be seated next to our Lord and Savior. I would have embraced your hug and smile longer. You remember the one that you gave me when I came out of the utility closest with an awful face, you're like "JB" it's gonna be alright. I would have engaged in one more un professional "rap" session with you, making up the words as we went along. I would have asked you to share more stories of your childhood, thoughts and feelings on your life as adult. I would have continued to encourage you to take the TMA class so that you could pass meds at the Manor. Most of all I would have hugged you moments longer and thanked you for being such a wonderful friend and co-worker. For your kind and compasionate care that you showed your friends and the residents that you provided care too. You are an awesome man with a huge heart. I thank the Lord for allowing you to be a part of my life for the short time that we knew each other. Your kindness, and witty sense of humor will always be missed but never forgot. RIP "Ken Doll" I really miss you....

When those we love have left this earth, we still can feel them near. We'll see a picture, hear a song, and it's just like they are here. And when we call upon our faith, when we believe and trust, we know the ones we care about are always close to us.
-Constance Parker Graham-

I found this poem the other day, I thought it fit so well. It never fails how some of the smallest things can bring back such great big memories! Kenny will be missed and his memory will be held in our hearts for eternity. Kenny made a great impact on my life in ways we'll never know.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Kenny Collins. May you endure this difficult time and come to a place of peace and acceptance.

Kenny, we had 20+ years together. We loved, laughed and lived life to the fullest. You have always been a joy in our lives. You will be missed at the family functions, but the memory of your laugh and the crazy things that you would say will bring us through. You are so crazy that you tickled yourself. I know that you are having a ball in Heaven. We have three beautiful children together and each one has something special that comes from you. Trials and tributions came upon us, but God worked it out in the end that we have even a closer bond together. I was your confidant and you would call me about EVERYTHING, and we would talk it out. Everyone was so happy when you came home for Little Kenny's graduation and we will remember those good times. The family will MISS your presence, but we will always LOVE YOU DEARLY!!! Continue to wrap your loving arms around us as you always have. YOUR ONE AND ONLY TRUE LOVE BECAUSE YOU ONLY HAD ONE TRUE LOVE!!!

My memories with Kenny are memories I will never forget. Kenny was an awesome guy with an awesome personality. Everyday I went to work and Kenny was there, I knew I would have a good day. He always made me laugh, work was always fun with him. Kenny was great explaining things, when I first started playing zombies with him, he explained to me how he played, I've played it like him ever since. He was also fun to talk to about sports, even though he was a packers fan. We could always talk about it, he knew it all. I wish he was still with us today, because I know he had so much more to offer, Kenny left us to soon. Another thing I wont forget about Ken is his laugh. Even if what he said wasn't funny, you'd still laugh. I don't know about everybody else, but Kenny left a huge impact on my life. There's so much more that I could say about Ken but, everytime I think about him, I see him laughing putting his arm around my shoulder trying not to tip over from laughing so hard. R.I.P. Ken, I'll never forget about you.

To my first love, my friend, and my confidant. Im glad that you came home for Lil Kennys graduation and the decision that I made, it was led by God. We've had our trials and tribulations that God has seen us through, which has made the bond between us stronger than ever. We laughed and talked about any and everything. Thank you for the precious babies that we have together. They're like you over and over. My soul is at rest and I am able to continue on now that I know you are home.

Your One And Only True Love (You can only have ONE true love) Teresa.!!!

To my gaming partner,
Now what? Who will I battle with in the video world? You left before Madden 2011 but I will persevere. Lil' Tyron will now have to take your Packers and bring them to The Super Bowl in your place, not that you could be replaced. You know what I mean. Love you always O.G.

To the love of my life...I know we had our rough times, but I love you with all my heart! I will never forget all the great times we had and will still have (when I meet you in heaven). Thank you for our wonderful son. He is truly your seed and I see you in Lil' Tyron everyday. He has so many of your characteristics. He makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
Ken, I get through my days knowing that I was and am your true love after Teresa. Space may separate our bodies but our souls are as one. I regret you did not make it home that tragic day. We were met to be together and I painfully look around and only see a shadow.I wish you were here with us. My salvation is that you are sitting with our Lord God and His son Jesus, our Savior. I will love you always and forever.

Jennifer "Toothpick" Brouwer

July 7, 2010

Kenny...well to be honest we had our good times and our bad... I enjoyed the time that we had spent together as friends and I feel lucky that I got to meet you. When you first told me that you had to come up with a nickname for me I was worried...But then you gave me the nickname "toothpick" and it fit me perfectly! That name has made an impact on all our friends here and they still call me Toothpick. I'm gonna miss watching the packers games with you and Lynn. I was never a "real packers" fan, but I grew to like them! I wanna thank you for having an impact on my life and everybody else here. You will truly be missed! I know your going to be my guardian angel! I will see you someday. My deepest sympathy to your family.

To Kenneth "Fatman" Collins Jr - You will be dearly and truly missed!! Since your passing, a day has not gone by where I have not thought about you where I have found myself being in deep sorrow and pain. I can not believe this is real and I'm finding it very hard to accept. I know you are in a better place and you are looking down on all your family and friends wanting us to know that you are ok and wanting us to stay strong because you are indeed in a far beyond better place. This is just something that we are going to have to learn to accept and realize - it is just so hard to do right now. Fatman I want you to always know that you are so GREATLY loved and will always continue to be loved, I have so many fond memories of you that I will keep so close to my heart because you will always be in my heart and I will not say goodbye to you because I know I will one day see you again being the happy, smiley face, lovable person that you are. I will always love you and RIP - Mr. Kenneth "Fatman" Collins Jr!!!!

To the Collins Family - I will like to extend my deepest and greatest sympathy to you. I can not imagine the pain you are in and are going through. I am just so lost for words!! I would like for you to know that your son, father, brother, cousin was a wonderful, good spirited man and he has touched each and everyone of us in a special way. We all are so truly honored and blessed to have had him in our lives and his memory will stay with us all forever. Thank you for allowing us the time we have shared with him so please always remember this!!!

Love Always,
