Roger Kaminski Obituary

Roger Paul Kaminski

Pleasant Prairie - On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, Roger, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 70.

Born on December 22, 1950, in Milwaukee, WI, Roger became an Air Force Veteran in 1978 followed by earning a Master's degree in Physiology from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1980. He then proceeded to obtain his Ph.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1983, followed by a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Ohio State University from 1983 to 1985. On August 15, 1970, he married Linda Lou McIntosh. They raised two children, a daughter, Theresa and a son, Justin.

Roger had a passion for knowledge and science, which was evident by his work as Director of Research and Development for multiple companies throughout his lifetime and he also left retirement to assist with the development of the COVID vaccine. He enjoyed helping his wife with her own craft projects by cutting wooden figurines for her to paint. He loved spending time with his grandchildren doing woodworking projects, such as building clocks and ships. He enjoyed spending time and sharing beers with his dog, Katie. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, making them laugh with his impeccable and hilarious story-telling, which made anyone feel as though they were reliving the moments with him, to the point where they would laugh so hard they would cry.

Visitation will be held TUESDAY, July 13, 2021 from 9:30-11AM at ST. JAMES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7219 S. 27th St., Franklin. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Private interment will be at Lake View Cemetery on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. In lieu of flowers, Roger's family is requesting donations be made to the American Lung Association or the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Kaminski. He is survived by his mother, Marian Kaminski; wife Linda Kaminski; children Theresa (Jason) Greenup, Justin (Shawnette) Kaminski; his brother, Darryl (Patricia) Kaminski; his aunt Dolores Stacy; his grandchildren Justin Jr., Jackson and Kennedy (Kaminski), Tyler, Chase, Kaleb and Avery (Greenup); and cousins, nephews and nieces.

Roger was so full of life and talent. It was one of my joys over the pandemic year to get to know and work together with Roger as he helped us bring the Pfizer BioNTech COVID vaccine to a world in shutdown. He was instrumental in helping Pfizer make the vaccine supply possible. I know he was so looking forward to having time with family (including his new grandbaby).

My heart and prayers are with your entire family.
