Wichita, Kansas - Jerry George Young, 84, Electrical Engineer with Utility Help Net and Retired Executive for Westar, died Saturday, December 31, 2022. A memorial service will take place in Spring 2023. Preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Kay Young; parents, Clem and Hattie Young; brother, James K. Young. Survived by his wife, Valerie Sue Young; daughters, Christine Young (Kelly Don Janzen), Kellie Ann (Ronald B.) Thompson; granddaughter, Erin Kellie Rust (Zak Wohlschlegel). A memorial has been established with: American Heart Association, 8918 W. 21st St. N. #248, Wichita, KS 67205. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
