I know this is late, however, I just found out about Joanie's death. I worked with her many years ago and always enjoyed our chats. She was very special will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss.

Joanie was a very special person to me--she was my very first niece and I was present when she was born in the back bedroom of our home at 808 Ann, Marysville, Kansas. Having gone thru cancer myself, I marveled at her tenacity. I encouraged her to fight this terrible disease, and she did, to the last. God has her now--no more pain for her anymore!

Joanie was loved very much by this uncle. The 5 years that she lived with my mom and dad, I thought of her as my little sister. We didn't see a lot of each other after I moved out, but only distance kept us apart, for she was always in my heart and always will be. She was friendly and out-going and loved people and life, and will be missed by all for some time to come.

To the family,
I hadn't seen Joan for years but thought of her often and talked about her with her sister Donna. So sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of her's in Arkansas City,Kansas and we did run together sometimes. She was a great person to know and we will all have good memories of her.

Ralph, I am so sorry that I did not get up to see Joan earlyer but I feel that she new that I was thinking of her. She will be missed by all of us.
