Danny was the scoutmaster of Troop 3 in Topeka where he helped me grow into an Eagle Scout and the man I am today. I think of him often and am sad that he's no longer with us. His service as a scout leader will be reflected in the lives of the many young men who had the benefit of his time, talents and sense of humor. Danny was indeed a very special person.

I will forever remember the kidding back and forth Dan and I would do regarding KU vs MU. He even had shirts chastising MU in favor of MU.
