I remember Harry when he ministered in Texas. He was one of the most gifted and inspiring speakers that I have ever known. He also had a great sense of humor and love for all those he came in contact with. May God bless and comfort his family and loved ones as he will truly be missed. The church needs more Harry Black's.

Harry taught you have to know your product before you can sell it to anyone, In other words you must know the Lord Jesus Christ before you can tell others about him.

He called me "Doll." I know he called all the girls Doll, but I felt very special, nevertheless. It was his voice, its tone, -- his charisma. What a wise & lovely man. I treasure many memories of family vacations & growing up together. My fondest wishes to you, Elaine, Michele, & Denise. With love, Lori

He was such an awesome preacher and Man. I found whenever I had the opportunity to hear him preach that I was encouraged to think for myself at the same time filled with hope.

I have special memories of Harry at Camp Sionito in Texas. I took him and my young nieces to the low water bridge to go rafting through some shallow rapids. He was the biggest kid there!!!I will always remember him fondly and often think of him when I hear "This is My Story"

Harry Black and I had a truly mystical seredipty friendship.. The very first time I sang At Stone Church was on a Sunday night. For several years after that, I would be asked to sing at congregations all over a 4 stake area.. Out of no where and any given service, we would show up at the same service so,so very many times.. We often remarked that it felt like we shared a rhythm and time with the Holy Spirit. He has a very special music ministry place in my heart.

We will miss his friendship, his leadership, his enthusiasm. He was closely associated with D. Leon Curtis in the order of Seventy and while we were located in Montana, Harry and family moved to Billings. Those were treasured years. I knew Allene prior to their marriage when she worked at Herald House . It was a gift to have him in our home preparing for a reunion or classes or chatting with our children. Our condolences to the family that surely adored him. Ardith L. Curtis and Leon (who is being cared for at home with problems similar to what Harry endured). May you all be blessed during the celebration of Harry's life on May 31st. We would be there if we could.
