Larry Carson Obituary

Larry S. Carson, Sr., 63, Kansas City, KS, died Tuesday, February 2, 2006 at the Medicalodge Post Acute Care Center. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. Burial in the National Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial are suggested to the family. Larry was born May 7, 1942, in Wichita, KS and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He had been an independent contractor. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Carson, of the home, six children, Dennis Harris, Michelle Fisher, Teresa Zaragoza, Angela Davila, Lonnie Harris, Larry Scott Carson, Jr. all of the Kansas City area, his mother, Geraldine Carson, two brothers, Jerry Carson, Johnstown, CO and Terry Carson, Plattsburg, MO, two sisters, MerryStewart, Kansas City, KS and Sherry Knowles, Melbourne, FL and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Larry was an old grade school classmate of mine.(Muncie)Great basketball player,lead the Muncie Bulldogs to championship at Washington High School playoffs(1956)and also a good friend.
