MARILYN JEAN PETREE obituary, Kansas City, MO

MARILYN PETREE Obituary

Marilyn J. Petree, 79, lost her battle with Alzheimer's disease on January 15, 2017. She was an amazing wife, mom and grandma who adored her family, friends and especially her grandkids, who were the light of her life. "Momo" will be missed deeply and forever in our hearts. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dennis Petree Jr., their two children, Jon Petree (Lisa), and Lisa Petree Friedman (Charles), brother, Bob Fant, and four grandchildren, Drew, Cole, Lauren and J.D. The family will hold a private service and she will be laid to rest at the Church of Resurrection Memorial Garden. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208. (alz.org) We must find a cure.

Marilyn was a favorite of mine many years ago. Our parents were good friends in Williamsburg. She was so beautiful and very kind to a little girl that idolized everything about her. My sympathies to you all.

Everyone remembers pretty Mrs. Petree. She was one of my favorite moms growing up. I will miss her laugh and sparkle in her eye. Sympathies to the family. Scott Lawder
