Mary Frances Howell

Mary Frances (Shira) Howell, 80, Overland Park, KS, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005. A celebration of her life will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 3 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, KS. A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the chapel prior to the service. Cremation. Mrs. Howell was born January 8, 1925, in Watchorn, OK. She was married to William D. (Dale) Howell on August 2, 1944. They lived in Hoisington, KS, from 1939-1954, and in Eureka, KS, from 1954-1965. Mary worked several years for the City of Overland Park, and retired after 19 years of service with Marine Corps Finance Center in Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her brother Bill Shira. Survivors include her husband Dale, Overland Park, KS; sister Patty Roesler, CA; daughter Pamela and husband Jack Wyman, Ft. Collins, CO; son Jeff and wife Lyn Howell, Olathe, KS; five grandchildren, Michelle Bilotta and Michael Wyman, Ft.
