Concord, California - Neola Mae Belle Walton (Mayer) was born Feb. 23, 1945 in Kansas City, KS to Robert & Thelma Walton and passed on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022, at her dtr.'s home in Concord, CA surrounded by her loving family. Long time business co-owner with husband Charles of Charles J. Mayer, & Co. bubbly Neola was always 'put together' & busy with social activities with her family or friends (whom she considered family). She is survived by husband: Charles; daughters: Kimberly (Philip) Palumbo & Heather Merideth; stepdaughter: Holli (Thomas) Applegate; grandchildren: Philip & Isabella Palumbo, Alexandra & Aryana Fakouri, Michael Muir, James & Mark Applegate; brothers: Robert & George Walton; sister: Deborah Jones; stepsister: Kathy Benfield; sisters-in-law: Nancy Smith & Terry Smith; along with many dear nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Thelma Varley, Robert Walton & stepfather: Thomas Varley; daughter: Stephanie Kay Mayer; & sisters-in-law: Rebecca Zuckerman and Elizabeth Walton. Passionate Neola was a graceful, loving, giving, beautiful woman who will be dearly missed & remembered in our hearts forevermore.

I will always remember the many walks down the street to see my friend, Neola when we lived in Highland Crest in Kansas City. She was a delight to be with. Prayers for the family.
