Norman Baldwin Obituary

Norman E. Baldwin, 66, passed away peacefully Monday, April 14, 2003. A Gathering in his memory will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 18, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Entombment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association. Mr. Baldwin was born September 26, 1936 in Kansas City, MO, to Harvey and Leta Baldwin. He graduated from Southeast High School in 1955 and attended Metro Junior College. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1965. Norman worked as a control agent for TWA, retiring in 1997 after 40 years, and was a member of the Machinists Union. He was also a member of Fairview Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son, Dean Alan in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Carole Jean Baldwin of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Deborah Baldwin of Smithville, MO; daughter and son-in-law, Carie and Tom Rich of Kansas City, MO; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Betty Lou Baldwin of Coon Rapids, MN: grandson, Kobe Reece; stepgrandson, Beau Curtis; numerous nieces and nephews; and his buddy, Rusty.
