I'm not surprised so many ex-students of Mr. Klamm's responded here when he passed. He obviously made an impact on people's lives in a very positive way. A fine man indeed. God bless him.

Oh those Saturday mornings at Klamm's magic shop. I remember the great times we had and the love of magic. You will be missed greatly. Thank you so much for your guidance and help when I was just learning to be a magician. It is a very sad day for me.

As many others on this site, Mr Klamm was my speech and drama teacher at Van Horn 67-69. He is the reason I majored in both English and Speech/Drama in college & later taught both in high school. He noticed I had some talent and worked daily with me to draw it out and craft it! What a wonderful & dedicated teacher that knew exactly the right words to say to a student at the right time. Thank you for sharing him with thousands of teenagers who never told him the impact he made on them. My condolences for your loss. RIP teacher

Mr. Klamm was my speech teacher. He taught me to stand up in front of people and talk. He told me to hold my head up and be proud of who I am. I am presently an elementary principal in NKC at Gracemor. He was part of the reason I am here. He was a great teacher and wonderful man.

Mr.Klamm was my speech teacher at Van Horn from 1960-1963. He was a fine and inspiring educator watching our performances thru special binoculars. His family should know how positively he influenced so many of us. Heaven is in for some good magic now. Carrie Arnold Sharp Class of '63

Drama was my favorite class because of Mr. Klamm!! I remember our first assignment. Sit quietly and write down everything you hear for the next few minutes. He never questioned a performance, just suggested positive feedback. He was a great teacher!!!!!!

I remember Mr. Klamm fondly. He was a very calm guy, very organized, and had a wry sense of humor. High school kids can be ruthless in their humor, but Bob took all the joking in stride and was a fabulous educator. I wouldn't be where I am today without his direction in my life during those high school years, and I thank him and Ms. Anne Bentz for helping me make it on to college and eventually finding my profession. He was one of Van Horn's great teachers and he will be missed.

Mr. Klamm was my speech and drama teacher at Van Horn and also my inspiration to go into Theatre in college. I later wrote a degree program in Drama Therapy for Washburn with internships at the Menninger Foundation. He inspired me in Theatre, but mostly in life. He will be well missed.

Mr. Klamm was my brother's and my drama teacher a million years ago at Van Horn. What a nice man and we admired him immensely We spoke of him often of him often whenever we would reminisce our high school years. He even asked us to cut his grass during the summer (probably for a few weeks, can't remember) while he and the family were gone on vacation. We were flattered to be asked and proud he trusted us enough to given the key to lawnmower shed, etc.! Our condolences to his family. Tony Marcase & family....Richard Marcase & family

Bob was my speech and drama teacher at Van Horn from 1974 - 1977. He was one of the most influential teachers I ever had. I was a shy, awkward kid, but he believed more in me than I did myself. Today, I do public speaking, training and lecturing. I would have never had the confidence to enter this field if not for Mr. Klamm. Godspeed. The world is a better place because he was in it.
