Rosemary Calvert Obituary

Rosemary June Calvert, 84, passed away July 10, 2007 at North Kansas City Hospital. A visitation will be held from 6:30-8:00pm Friday, July 13, 2007 at Rollins Funeral Home, Platte City, MO. The funeral service will be held at 10:30am Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the First Christian Church, Platte City, MO. Burial in Platte City Cemetery, Platte City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, Platte City or the American Diabetes Association. Rosemary was born October 26, 1922 in Butler, MO to Maurita (Jenkins) and Albert Lee Eggleson. She married Dr. Richard Wayne Calvert on March 26, 1948 in Platte City. Rosemary was an avid Polka fan and loved to dance. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Platte City, Daisy Chapter #86 Order of Eastern Star; Platte City VFW Auxiliary #4055; Platte City Red Hat Society. Rosemary participated in the Platte Valley Bank Book Club and Investment Club and volunteered at the KCI Airport as an Ambassador. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son Robert Calvert, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Calvert and sister Beverly Murray. Rosemary is survived by her son Wayne Calvert and wife Karen, Joplin, MO; daughter Cassie George and husband Bob, St. Louis, MO; and seven grandchildren.
